Outbound
- The lounge experience in AKL was ridiculous. More than half of the shower rooms were out of order, and there was no sign-up list, so we spent the majority of our layover waiting in the corridor for our turn. I liked the coffee ordering situation, but had almost no time to enjoy my flat white

I just made it back on Sunday 20th, AKL-ORD in NZ metal. The trip has exceeded my expectations. Besides what AS219 just mentioned, shower rooms were fixed when I returned, also I really don't care for the food on NZ. This is largely due to being used to TK catering. But for such deal plus 30K miles (1 trip that gave me 75% of miles needed for another 2 years renewal on TK), there's no ground for me to complain, considering most seat neighbors paid at least $6000 (it's much more expensive if you're based in AKL).
For those still haven't made the trip yet and will be staying in Auckland, consider staying around hotels along K-Road, rather than CBD, where all the cheaper shops, eateries, and local residents are. You also get a panoramic view of the city from here.
