I was on SQ 317, LHR to SIN on 28 August and had the First Class cabin all to myself. I originally sat in 2A but moved around to experience other seats. I found that I enjoyed 2AF the best. With BA First as my only other reference, I feel that the SQ First Class product blows BA out of the water. The food is better, the service is unmatchable, and the seats and bed far superior to BA.
I ordered the Lobster Thermidor from Book The Cook and it was outstanding. All the food was spectacular from the soup, salad, caviar... perhaps the only disappointing aspect was the ice cream for dessert (a more fancy dessert would have been preferable) -- and I loved the Blue Mountain coffee!!!
I think that this flight now ranks as my best ever flight experience ever.....

P.S. On my flight to HKG I ordered the Nasi Biryani and that too was outstanding!!
