I dealt with a similar situation after cancelling by EZE flight since I was entitled to a refund after UA cancelled my original EWR to EZE flight. It seems that refunds go to the "refund department" where humans actually have to approve them before the CC charges get reversed. Mine took about 2 weeks to finish.
