On a side note, they do have a house car you can utilize as a guest. They will pick people up within a 5 mile or so vicinity. If you can have a friend/visitor park somewhere nearby that’s affordable, you can ask the reception to have the house car go collect them.
Curious - how is it overrated? FWIW I intend to use Uber during my trip next month. Other areas of Beverly Hills look pretty walkable from the hotel (I plan to spend a lot of time at the Equinox Beverly Hills for example)
