I've heard various news stories on this topic over the years and they seem to be increasing lately. The technology is obviously upon us to to allow in flight calls on many flights but it's more of a social issue. People don't want to listen to the guy in the next seat rehash the fight he had with his wife the previous night. Of course, everyone who talks on the phone in a crowd never thinks anyone can hear them but trust me/us.... we can! Planes are so tight and everyone is already on edge. Having to listen to people scream into their phones all flight would be a total nightmare. Can people really not solve life's urgent issues via text or email for a couple hours?
