I went to the state I was arrested in and looked at my record. I was shocked to see that it was a conviction. The lawyer told me it would be totally expunged after I finished probation and a class I had to go to. After getting g to know me a couple times, my probation officer actually signed off and let me leave the state and ended my probation early. I was under the impression it was all over and was expunged. I was totally naive of course. It was a misdemeanor. Shoplifting a swimsuit. Stupid. Anyways, now that I remember it will I get denied or will I get a chance to come clean during the interview. I have no documentation at all. It was so long ago I didn’t even remember it.
