Stopped in today and picked up $2k in gift cards. Quick question, has anybody ever had to fill out the customer information sheet for ~$2k in gift cards? I've bought this amount in the past and never had to fill anything out. I always assumed the paperwork was for amounts closer to $10k.
Also, the person at the desk said it looked like Oct 31st IS going to be the end. No extension and not becoming permanent...at least as of now.
You shouldn't have to complete paperwork for anything < $3K. You do have to fill out paperwork for anything $3K or more. When you buy $10K or more is you have to provide your SSN as well.
Hopefully Oct 31st is not the end of Simon $1Ks. Instead they should still allow the higher grossing malls to continue to sell the $1K Simons instead of killing it for everyone nationwide. My local Simon mall told me that they have had solid numbers since the $1K Simon promotion have started.
