I'd think the voltage and current needed for a bag to actually keep a little GPS tracker going could be accomplished with 2 or 4 AA batteries you change when they die. Now the smart bags with all the "smartness" can't be used because they might "dumbly" light your stuff and the plane on fire. Technology marches on.
LOL. Yes, it charges things though that's not the reason I purchased it. And I did not call it a smart bag, AC does. All it has from a electronic tech is a removable 10,000mah Li-Ion battery. There are no USB or connections on the actual bag, everything is on the removable battery. I bought the bag for design, style, warranty and wheels - if it did not have a battery, I would not care. The reason i got the one with the battery was because it was the same price as one without.
GPS trackers like Tile require even less battery power than a AAA battery.
