The number of points/miles required for a particular award itinerary can vary widely, depending on which FFP's miles you are redeeming. Last year, I had a four-segment domestic roundtrip on AA. It would have cost 25,000 AAdvantage miles (less if one had a qualifying AA credit card); 30,000 BA Avios; or 12,000 Iberia Plus Avios. Guess which FFP I used for that redemption?
