Not my favorite hotel in Houston, but I've only stayed there a couple of times. As I recall, it was "under renovation" a few years ago too. But with a couple of other relatively new hotels nearby I guess they have to compete.

Among the Houston Doubletrees I always liked the Allen Center one better (didn't it start life as a Meridien?)--which I will say is in need of a refreshment as well so I am glad to hear that it will get one too. Wonder what they'll do with the "wedge" rooms....


NOw if they'd just do something about that dreadful Southwest Freeway Hilton....
