Is taking the HSR something hard to do? I see that MU also has a direct LAX-NKG flight, though it is an afternoon flight that lands at 7 PM. My plans is to fly LAX-NKG, NKG-HKG, SGN-PVG AND PVG-LAX to take advantage of two TWOV as part of my whole trip.
I didn't know you were coming from LAX, but since you are, it would be insane to take the PVG flight + train instead of it, even if they were paying you.
