Each ffp can have a different cost in it own ff currency [miles/points/avios] & different cash surcharge for the exact same flight. Real $ taxes are the same. That is what awardhacker shows
e.g. HKG-AMS on CX, that would/may be available to any Oneworld ffp (BA, QF, QR, AA etc). Availability is not always the same within an alliance.

Some ffp's are tending to dynamic awards, with no award charts/fixed cost (like DL)

Been reports of AS not being happy with some newbies. Some ffp's require you to be a signed up member, for say 90 days, before an award
