So I just had an unusual experience.

ATL-LGA, no PDB, despite a lengthy delay post-boarding before closing the doors. FA doesn’t even make eye contact with first class cabin, so nobody can flag her down to ask. Annoying, but hardly unprecedented.

Then, my connecting flight, LGA-PHL, has the same plane, same crew, and same first class flight attendant. And she does a full PBD, including slipping me an extra vodka bottle.

I had always chalked up lack of PDB to FA indifference, but maybe there are other factors at play, like flight distance.
