If travelling in Y the problem is even worse. At least last time when I was travelling with an infant there was only one bassinet seat in entire Y on A350. 41H if I remeber correctly.
Wow the bassinet to seat ratio is truly the worse I have come across. 41H means you can't even choose a seat in the economy comfort section...

The agent mentioned that they will reassign the seat if passenger on 1L is not travelling with an infant. I think this practice is pretty common and have seen other airlines do the same.
