This is a bit of an odd one as i've been to Indonesia about 50 times, but i've NEVER transferred on one ticket from an international flight to domestic. I've never transitted in Bali or Jakarta either.

Basically i'm flying London to Lombok on Qatar Airways, which involves a change in either Jakarta OR Bali onto a Garuda domestic flight.(connections similar, so it's down to departure / arrival preferences really - I may do Jakarta on way out, Bali on way back).

It's one ticket, so i'd assume through baggage, and boarding passes - BUT - where would I clear immigration? Does Jakarta/Bali have immigration inbetween domestic & international so I can remain in transit, or do I need to clear immigration on arrival into Indonesia and then go through all check-in process again? And on the return? Basically - what's the process, and is there a better place to do it between Bali & Jakarta? I'm well versed in both airports (just not transitting!).
