I was given a soft landing for 2020 from PL to Gold.(Lifetime Silver, too)

My travel plans ended up changing for the year and will make Plat with the 50th night. (cutting that close!)

I would also add that you need to consider what contracts your company may have that grant you stays. I know from my colleague that she was given Plat status on day one, but the following year had to actually stay to renew it.

consider how much money you give them compared to what the value of what you're asking for. While I can see how it can be frustrating, they're gonna look at the investment.
