I pased through the VIE HON lounge a few times in the past couple of months. Every time, without thinking too much about it, expecting to have an experience like in Germany or Switzerland, looking forward to a proper meal and a pleasant and aesthetic place to kill time or do something useful (involving power plugs). And every time it was a nasty wake up call. The lounge itself is very uninspiring, whoever designed it must have borrowed his/her ideas from some bus terminal or the waiting room in a public hospital. Eating area with those small glass tables (and paper napkins), ugly armchairs... The buffet is really really disappointing, not much choice and just not inviting to help oneself from those big metal containers where food is simmering since several hours, no made-to-order food...

Just a pity. I have used the VIE lounge a lot several years ago and just don't recall it as being so drab. Is that my memory playing tricks on me or was it better indeed and standards have slipped at some point over the past 3-4 years?
