I believe that your flight will most probably depart from T1 where there is no F lounge. But as the previous posted said, the Terraces are fairly nice.

The T4 F lounge is really - IMHO - the BA Gold lounge. The real F lounge is the Concorde lounge on the main level.

Amsterdam flights do leave from T4 so there is a First lounge. Since he is not travelling in 1st ( arriving in 1st on CX is irrelevant) , he would not be likely to have access to it. The Concorde lounge isn't the real F lounge. As a 1st class ticket holder , I haven't been granted access there. I have been told that entry requrements are to be travelling on COncorde or to be a Premier card holder.
