Well, I think you guys are right. With RNC and US Open this week, LGA probably want to manually check people in.
I have this problem every time when on the second day of my trip. I have no trouble checking in for day one. Day two or day three are always a problem. I've called web support several times and they always tell me the system has not completely processed the flights of day one and there is nothing they can do.
Sure keeps the bonus miles to a minimum. BTW, I too have tried checking in with both methods listed above.
