I started a new thread as I imagine this will be a common question for PQP qualifications. A number of airlines allow for upgrade bids (this is not for 016/UA tickets as we know those fees low qualify for PQP) so interested whether upgrade bids change the fare code.
I bought PE seats on a LH ticket last June that was coded E, and when credited to my UA account shows up as P.
