Yes to all of the above. I’m just scrambling here trying to figure out if anything would be covered. This is a bizarre trip situation. I’m not even sure regular travel insurance would cover this. Can’t access personal car. Never even thought of this as a problem!
Ultimately the responsible party for the collapse would cover expenses but that’s a long time/journey. And of course at the bottom of their concerns at the moment, rightly so.
We are going to rent a car tomorrow and head home as scheduled. Leaving car in NOLA. It pains me to do that, esp bc a new car that I’ve been enjoying, but no option. Everyone we’ve talked to thinks it will be weeks before we can get to it.
