Kawasaki’s looking really bad.
Tap water no longer potable in my hometown. The river there has never even come close to flooding since I was born, but it’s now on the verge. Nagano looks so bad.

When we have windstorm here that knocks limbs off trees, it’s a big deal here (USA). People (myself included) take time off work when stuff happens. Over there, they get one disaster after another, but stores and trains and public infrastructure get fixed up fast. There must be workers working tirelessly behind the scenes to restore everything quickly each time, prioritizing their work over damages to their own homes/mansions.
