I have to agree with 5khours here. I have taken an hour long walk around my neighbourhood and adjoining areas in Tokyo. I have yet to see a single incident of damage. Greatest inconvenience is that Starbucks is closed, and people have not been out to sweep up the fallen leaves.
I watched NHlK and read their news, there are damages, but considering the media hype the damages are rather limited.
On a light note, my local 7-11 is open a fully restocked Aeon was reopening just now and fresh supplies being delivered, which makes me laugh again at the people hoarding food and clearing out the shelves Friday and Saturday.
