I'd be tempted to guest one if there's some rationale for picking the person, such as someone with whom you must discuss a project. It could look bad if you invite your boss or if you're the boss and pick one subordinate unless you can rotate the favor and make it very obvious that this is the rule you're following.

If you're guesting a client etc. you might want to make clear that this costs you nothing, so that it's not considered a gift that must be reported, etc.
