I've been contemplating dropping the Explorer card anyway, and this change makes it look more likely. I've already dropped all the spend off it since I got CSR and managed to avoid flying UA this year, so I don't need the waiver for this year.

I'm a perpetual Silver who will drop back to GM after this year (can maybe status match back to Gold next year if I end up on UA with any frequency).

Since I don't check bags, the bag fee waiver doesn't mean much, and if I have to check a bag on biz travel it's covered anyway.
I have GE/precheck, so the premier line at security isn't a benefit.
BG2 is the only real benefit that I don't get from some other card, so that gets me an overhead space, but I can buy that bundled with E+ if I drop to GM and have to buy E+ anyway.
