It seems to me that the SEB AY MC is still the best alternative, but the constant degrading combined with their forced 10% invoice has caused such a rejection reaction that I don’t want to keep the card any longer.

I try to put the key elements together for the Finnish AY points earning cards. However there are many things I don’t know, such as the coverage of the travel insurance, etc. Please comment, correct and amend the list to get complete picture.

Finnair Plus Mastercard includes free travel insurance and cash withdrawal insurance.

When paying in full (100%) for your international trip with the payment or credit feature of your Finnair Plus Mastercard, you and your traveling family members will receive free travel insurance. Travel insurance includes insurance against, among other things, travel sickness, travel accident and loss of luggage.

  • In the event of serious illness or accident, the insurance covers transportation from abroad to Finland, for example by ambulance flight.
  • Sum insured up to EUR 50,000.
  • The maximum amount of insurance cover for travel medical treatment or travel accident insurance is EUR 30,000.
  • Luggage compensation up to EUR 840 (deductible EUR 50).
Cash withdrawals will cover cash withdrawn from your Finnair Plus Mastercard credit account abroad up to € 850 if cash is robbed from you within 24 hours of withdrawal.
