If you check the terms, aloft should be on list of participating hotels. Ask a manager at front desk.
If you still don’t get any satisfaction, I would call Marriott rewards and ask for their help.
I have read here that in the past, if hotel did not take care of it, people were able to get Marriott to apply card retroactively and refund the CC that used to pay hotel bill.
