But to add to this, let us say the OP was looking at a fare in fare bucket O (G is the cheapest but it is BA Holidays mainly, in this context) and let's say it was £36 + tax and now it is £38 + tax. There isn't just one O fare - there could be many. So it's possible the fare went up just because BA want to increase that particular fare, it's possible that there was a minimum purchase timeline for the lower fare - unlikely to apply here, it's more a factor on longhaul at 2, 4 and 6 weeks' points. But if the all-in ticket price has gone up then yes surcharges may have changed, but far more likely at the moment the security fee for PFO-London will be denominated in Euros, and it's a matter for the public record how pound sterling is currently faring on exchange rates at the moment.
You can tell me which fare bucket now I was looking at from my previous post, I think its unlikely to be a currency fluctuation as the price increased by 39% and i don't think the Euro rate has changed that much in the last 48 hours ! Maybe unfortunately like you say there was a number of fares within one class. So do you think it will go back down? thanks
