The HGI is really several comfort notches down from the Conrad. Smaller rooms, no lounge, far smaller breakfast spread, no room upgrades. a decent distance from nearest MRT station. I would go so far as to say it's not worth the money unless the room rate is less than half that of the Conrad for your travel dates ... or if you would like to be in the middle of cultural Little India (instead of the more "sterile" locations of the Conrad or Hilton).
