I flew out from TLV this spring and likely will do again next spring for work (Tel Aviv is incredible and I really want to return, it was solely the airport experience which ruined the visit).
Mid 20s black British national flying BA J, no Islamic country stamps as I use two British passports specifically for reasons like this (which they can't see themselves) - given a 5 (alongside a Hebrew character) on my passport. Went through the 'additional' screening which delayed me a good 45 minutes or so, whilst making it pretty damn clear how furious I was throughout when they asked ridiculous questions.
Given I'd been questioned on arrival twice (once by the woman checking my passport asking the names of my grandparents and other seemingly random questions...?!, once when leaving the arrivals hall by a plain clothes police officer asking what he's going to find in my bag to which he received a very "simple" response and decided to let me go) I was pretty bemused at this stage but I wouldn't let it put me off returning just yet... one more time though and that'd perhaps be it for me.
