I just need veggie, not vegan. What I typically find in lounges are things like cheeses, breads, hummus, salads, fruit, cakes, etc. With a couple of glasses of wine or G&T normally! Not exactly a balanced meal, but enough to keep the wolf from the door. In many parts of Asia I find it tricky eating out when I am with meat / seafood eaters, so tend to want a snack early evening so I don't get hangry! I've also found lounges to be quite accommodating in finding items if there is nothing available - no guarantees of course, but even toast is a decent pre-dinner option for me! I don't mind room service as an option for later at night if I am still hungry, as I am not on the clock, but have been frustrated too many times by early evening room service waits, that it is not my preferred option.
