Even if we had a ns one way and a connection on the way back, some of us would likely do it.

Don't think it needs to be a late run either....a 8:15 departure could capture the connecting traffic from Anchorage, Spokane, Everett, Eugene, Redmond, Hawaii flights It's possible if Alaska wanted to do it. Of course, it would lose this connecting traffic thru Seattle, which could upset the apple cart. But Everett passengers are not connecting thru Seattle.

All sorts of stuff is possible.

Alaska needs to do more to connect its east-west passengers as well.

Or we keep the same and do it as is and most of us fly someone else.

overnight real estate at SFO and/or PDX might dictate an eastbound departure ~2100, arriving around midnight, and a sunrise return ... great for the business traveler based in DEN who needs a day trip, but forcing at least one extra night for those headed there
