Apologies for reviving this thread, but I never did end up downgrading... didn't get around to it I guess?

With the new higher AF coming and loss of RDM boost, I will almost certainly downgrade/cancel this year. Currently at around 45k spend through the year and have received one reserve boost. Unlikely that I'll hit 60k/boost #2 . If I downgrade to platinum and spend ~$5k more, I'd get a 10k MQM/RDM boost, in addition to some prorated annual fee refund, correct? Would I then get a plat companion cert on my current renewal date (~April?) or would that reset to 12 months from the date of downgrade?
