Yes I was auto rebooked and it put me in economy, of all places in like row 24 which I found odd. 1) because there was still room in F 2) because there was still MCE and I've long been an EXP and 3) because in all my ticket history the farthest back I've ever been was 14...

It was as if someone was on their way off shift and just said screw it. I looked up the seat map and made my way up to the front desk to inquire. When the guy looked at my reservation he was confused as to what happened to. ultimately he resolved it, but that segment is still missing in my account.

When you say the R class isn't an option on long hauls how do you mean? I've booked several to LHR as R under our corp booking system. Do you mean that usually the upgrades are either C or another code?
