Don't forget the A32x NEOs joining the BA fleet are also CFM engined (admittedly LEAP, rather than CFM56).

The old 737 fleet was also CFM56, as were the "G-BUSx" A320s which BA inherited during the BCal acquisition.

As you say, CFM engines won't hold BA back. Their engineering teams have plenty of experience on them.
