BA do have one aircraft with CFM engines - the A318 at LCY. Within IAG Iberia, Vueling, Level and Aer Lingus have hundreds of A320/1 with CFM engines. I don't think CFM engines would hold BA back if they need the aircraft to keep their slots alive. Sounds like crewing the aircraft would be bigger issue.
