2) I do see that in a JAL domestic boarding, paper BPs are far less likely to mess up

Online BP for me is just to assign seat (if not previously assigned), and to avoid being bumped (since CX bumps on a LIFO basis)

i normally have something to check in so I see an agent anyway.
