Fantastic stay at Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort

Introduction Having always stayed at Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon previously, my family and I decided we should give Pullman Phuket Panwa a try since the beach looks more appealing compared to the rough tides at Naithon. Prior to my arrival, I did manage to touch base with the Front Office Manager (FOM) of the resort as I did have 3 rooms booked under our account and was actually on a trial run of the hotel for a future extended family trip that would see us booking close to 8 rooms. Thus, the FOM did take good care of us. Additionally, I even virtually "bumped" into a fellow FlyerTalk member at the hotel and had a nice chat with him. Kudos to hotel_user for reaching out. It was a pleasure meeting you. Check In Arrival at the Resort and Check-In was smooth and the FO team and FOM herself welcomed us to the beautiful resort. Prior to Check-In, the FOM did confirm with us that one of our rooms will be upgraded upon arrival as per benefit however upon Check-In, she sprang a surprise on us and upgraded all three rooms to the Pool Villa Sea view which was a 2-3 category upgrade. She did mention this was given as the villa was just vacated earlier in the day and would only be given should there be availability which I totally understood. So I won't expect much as this was based on availability. The usual welcome drink voucher was presented and immediate welcome refreshment and cold towels were presented upon arrival. Out of the 3 rooms we had, only 2 were ready but we were more than happy to wait having been upgraded. Room One of the FO ambassadors escorted us to our Villa and gave us a brief introduction to our room features. The Pool Villa Sea View was of superior quality and furnishings were all up to date as there were sufficient international power plugs around the room. A must in this day and age.WI-FI was really fast and available throughout the resort. I believe there are no limits on devices as I connected with almost 7 devices in one room (Don't ask why I have so many devices ) Bathroom was very spacious and was even bigger than a standard whole Ibis room. The view out of the villa was magnificent. Clear blue skies and oceans on a good day. The villa also had a small pool and balcony with direct access to the garden/beach in front of the villa. Additionally, we also had a small tour of the resort to view other rooms to see what the regular deluxe rooms and junior suite looks like as when we plan to come back next year, we all won't be booking suites or etc. So here are some pictures of the regular deluxe rooms and junior suite. Deluxe Sea View below Junior Suite below Service Service in the resort was something that really stood out in my opinion. Wherever we went throughout the resort, we were taken care of greatly and the staff were just amazing at their job. I never encountered 1 staff who was difficult or wanted to say no. They would always try first before saying no which was great in my opinion. Dining Dining at the hotel was delightful. We were not ever disappointed by the food we had at the hotel. Having eaten Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in-house. I can whole heartily say that the food was delicious all around. The Italian cuisine we had at the main restaurant for dinner was excellent. The Gnocchi and Ravioli were so good. The Thai Buffet night at Tamarind restaurant was excellent too. The burgers by the pool were delicious too for all our lunches and the breakfast buffet had a wide enough spread to cater to everyone’s taste.I must say though since we booked a rate without breakfast, our Accor Plus cards came into good use and utilised it often. In the end, we spent more than our combined room rate for three-room just on F&B expenses as we really just dined in-house and drank away our holiday Welcome Drink voucher menu below Breakfast Buffet below Thai Buffet Night below From my understanding, if you do book a premium room, every Thursdays, the resort holds a small get-together (Social Sunset) with complimentary drinks and canapes. I think you have to book Deluxe suite and above. But I am not too sure on this, best to check with the hotel if you are interested. Beach, Pool, Gym The pool here cannot rival the one at Pullman Naithon in my opinion in terms of the spectacular view. However, down here at Panwa, there are definitely more chairs/bed available and you don't really see people coming to reserve them early in the morning as there are plenty available. There are two pools around the resort, the main pool by the beach and the secondary infinity pool located within the room's area adjacent to the Gym and Kids Club. Depending on preferences, one might like one pool more. I prefered the main pool as the pool bar was conveniently located there which means I could order food and drinks by the pool. Main Pool below Secondary Pool below Kids Pool below Gym below Beach wise, the waves are almost non-existent and thus, kid-friendly. The resort also offers complimentary water sports like paddle-boards and kayaking to guests. A plus in my eyes. Picture of the resort after canoeing out to the ocean below Do note that due to high/low tide, the beach can vary much. (Please see photos attached to see what I mean. Overall Overall, my family and I enjoyed the resort and have already made reservations to come back here next year. This time, we have booked nearly 8 rooms and am sure if the same level of service is given, we will thoroughly enjoy our future stay.
