I bet most hotel sewing kits would contain scissors or something sharp to open the bags. Having the bags heat sealed seems like a nice way to keep dirty TSA hands off my clean stuff (no offense intended to TSA-I just don't want you touching my clothes after digging through someone else's dirty underwear).
