I used to work in Singapore and had roots here in Seattle so would do the trip quite frequently, mostly the dreaded NW flights through Narita. We always dreamed of a nonstop SEA-SIN and the NW staff we knew teased us about rumors of them starting the route when they eventually got 787s that could make the long journey. Great to see this, between DL now flying SEA-PVG, CX doing SEA-HKG and SQ adding SEA-SIN, we have much better access to our old stomping grounds. We cant wait to try the SQ flight.
Seems like CX has some good biz fares originating exKTM and SQ has some exIndia. We’re starting some exKTM tickets this year and think we’ll pick up some exBOM tickets to try SQ when we head back. Requires advanced planning though, SQ revenue management is often tight with the D bucket closer in.
