Did anybody has more recent experiences. I have a late arrival into EWR and will leave two days later in the morning. From a couple of stays at the Doubletree (former Hilton) Newark Penn Station I know the area. I am planing to do a trip to Manhattan on the day between both flights and this seems fare better located that any of the Airport hotels (except maybe the Marriott Newark Airport, but even then I need to transit to the PATH at Newark Penn Station).

How frequently is the shuttle running?
And updates in service and room appearance?
And information about if breakfast is worth to trade the 500 points amenity as Bonvoy Platinum ?
