Banking and and banks have gotten a little crazy in my opinion. You need to go to Wells Fargo or HSBC, they’ll let anything fly.
As long as banks know where the money is coming from and can verify the source, they are more than happy to accept it, no matter whether it is cash or wire.

However, the source is the problem. If that is questionable, then there are going to be issues and most banks don't like issues and will shut down accounts that have them.
