As usual, much angst on this topic. I don’t like the pump bottles shown in this example; they are similar to the ones offered in many airport lounges; the pump mechanisms fail, it’s necessary to pump many times to get a decent squirt of product, the angle of them can be difficult. On the other hand, I’ve had no difficulty at all with the ones commonly seen in Aloft: a wall-mounted receptacle, emptying from the bottom, fully lockable.
People like the miniatures because they’ve been around forever and change is not welcomed. But there’s no avoiding this change: get used to it, it’s here to stay.
On the positive side, the risk of being allocated a room immediately after someone sufficiently psychotic to have tampered with them ( mini or bulk) is infinitesimally small: maybe around the same as getting room service delivered by a serial killer.
