Thanks for explaining the difference between the PC and IC Amb program. I have been a PC member for a few years and always flash my card at check in. When I use a service like Priceline or Hotwire and are assigned a CP or HI I still flash the card at check in but they generally tell me that they cannot issue points for my stay, but they may give me a better room.

I signed up for IC Amb with this promo for the miles but also because I plan to use an IC property in Asia for a week later this year so just the the upgrade is worth the price of the program. But I was also thinking about flashing my IC Amb card when I use domestic CP and HI properties. Since you have been an Amb member for many years you clearly have a database of experience but have you never been upgraded at CP and Hi properties flashing your Amb card? @:-)
