I found the steps to be somewhat dangerous as well (especially after a bottle of wine in town with dinner
). I think part of the issue is that the upper portion of the steps are shared between Mystique and a couple of other properties you pass on the way down so it's likely not that easy to just redo the steps.

Net-net, the price/value ratio is poor.
Location! Location! Location! That's what you are paying for. I've said it many times that you go to Santorini for the views and IMHO you shouldn't expect "luxury" accommodations at Mystique or any other property.
