Everything worked out well...reservation showed on my hertz account, was able to use the Gold Choice area, and only thing was I had to pay for a child seat (I usually don’t when renting from Hertz because of AAA, but again, cash rate was just too much). But things went pretty smoothly (especially compared to the last time at that location). So no complaints for me. I will admit to not using UA.com to rent cars in the past, but based on my experience, at least, would do it again, all else being equal. I have looked before, and cash rates when I’ve seen them do tend to be better directly from Hertz.com, despite the claim of 20% off or whatever United says.
