BTW it appears that BofA ATMs will allow tapping physical BofA debit cards now. The error when you tap something not BofA is now the following:
We're sorry, we are unable to process this contactless card transaction. To continue, insert your card in the card reader.
If you are using your phone's digital wallet, select your Bank of America debit card and then try again. You may also insert your card in the card reader.
Hopefully this means the trial is going well, though I suppose they would have rolled that functionality out to all ATMs regardless of whether they ultimately roll out contactless cards outside of NYC and SF.
