Every time there is a change in the mileage program or the loss of a previous partner I notice the usual..."well XXX airline is going to get all my business"..."mileage program not so good now" I get my hopes up that many of the elites (above me) will move on and hopefully that will translate into more upgrade opportunities for me. Sigh.....does not appear to be the case in real life. I for one was never a fan of Delta or AA but I will admit, it was nice having various opportunities for award travel but business being business things change. Other than the potential loss of the Admirals Club in the future, this will not affect me as 80% of my travel is on AS and the other 20% is BA.
