I did a search, apologies if this was covered elsewhere but I did not find.

Just reserved flights that include FRA-DXB in PY. Website wants $52 to reserve a seat. Called in to LH and apparently, on some flights, they now charge to pre-reserve a seat in PY. Its route specific, but they do not have details. Its not based on fare code. Additionnaly PAX is *G

I asked for it to be waved, as there is no mention anywhere that I could find, and no list of routes that this affects and it is new, but they said nothing could be done. Even the agent on the phone was surprised.

Has anyone else heard of this? Any suggestions on how to get this waved?
