There are more than enough taxis waiting at the taxi stand. No worse than Uber/Grab in this case. In fact my experience of Grab in BKK has not always been tat good (long waiting times and prices higher than Uber or normal metered taxis).
Every Grab car I have ever used (dozens) has been FAR better than the local taxis. Cleaner, newer, better drivers & always at a fixed price ^

The AOT limousine service is a rip-off. I would take the train to save on the costs. I may not be quicker as the taxi is likely to get caught in traffic on Asoke/Dindaeng road from Petchaburi MRT to Sukhumvit in the early afternoon. Ripoff? That's not my experience considering the quality versus the grubby, surly taxis one often gets. At this price point I couldn't give a stuff about the premium either. YMMV
